Heat treatment

Volumetric heat treatment is one of the mandatory requirements for fabrication of reactors and other equipment with wall thickness above 30 mm.

The shops of the company are equipped with the required heat treatment furnaces for volumetric and local heat treatment of vessels with diameter up to 7400 mm, length up to 38700 mm, weight up to 600 t.

Heat treatment of bent pipes made from carbon, chrome-molybdenum and austenitic steels is provided for by the procedure developed by the company personnel on the installation of the firm Kurai. The technique of furnace heat treatment of tube-to-tubesheet welding zones made from chrome-molybdenum steel in argon shielded gas has been introduced by the company. This technique prevents formation of scale before tube expansion process.
