Bimetal equipment is manufactured both from clad steel and from plain metal plate with following weld overlay.
The experts of Volgogradneftemash JSC have developed unique procedures and equipment for corrosion resistant overlaying welding of inside surfaces in nozzles, heads, shell courses and other vessel surfaces.
Automatic submerged weld overlay of a corrosion resistant layer with a tape electrode in one or more layers gains several advantages:
- assurance to receive clad materials of high quality providing standard values of properties,
- extension of the type range for corrosion resistant weld overlay metal with possibility of a more precise selection of its features suitable for the vessel working medium,
- provides possibility to control the processing cycle of the vessel manufacture including its duration.
This method of double-layered material production provides high degree of the weld and base metal bonding. Wide range of clad metal assortment (09Ã2Ñ + 08Õ13, 09Ã2Ñ + 08Õ18Í10Ò, 09Ã2Ñ + 10Õ17Í13Ì2Ò, 12ÕÌ + 08Õ13, 12ÕÌ + 08Õ18Í10Ò etc.) is produced using developed at Volgogradneftemash JSC process technology with subsequent fabrication of vessel shells with 10mm up to 180 mm thickness.
This method provides clad metal fabricated either with regard to intercrystalline corrosion requirements or without them.
One or more corrosion resistant layers on inside surfaces of nozzles with diameter above two inches produced by automatic weld overlay with a wire electrode in shielding gas make it possible to considerably improve the quality of cladding in small diameter nozzles and to get rid of the use of alloyed sleeves. Such weld overlaid surfaces meet all the modern requirements of native and international standards and are in requisition of the customer.
A unique method of High Velocity Air Fuil (HVAF) has been implemented at the company. The shop is equipped with a high-tech robotized complex which enables reliable securing of parts with different configurations and shapes, precise positioning and high stability of the spraying process.
Use of metal and non-metal consumables provides manufacture of corrosion resistant, wearproof, heat-resistant and other coatings up to 500 ?m thickness with hardness up to 70HRC.
